The light shot diamonds from his eyes
Straight into the depths of my heart
Capturing my light to shine back to him
Surrounding us in sparkling synchronicity
Two souls searching for their match
Feeling the rapture of recognition
Finally they have been found

Frozen Forest

The tree
shivers
shaken 
by icy wind

Winter's
wrath
freezes
the forest

The tree
calls out
to his
comrades

Let's all
stand
together
in solidarity

We can
brave
this 
brutal cold

Find solace 
in the
shimmering
snow

Hold on
and
have
hope

Spring
will come
again
soon

New year beginning
Refreshing new growth sprouting
Old habits die hard

Bitter cold morning
Trapped inside of a feeling
Of frozen stillness

Snow drifts find a home

Spark
It starts
The Flame
Ignites

Flicker
Fade
No breath
In sight

Whoosh
It Bursts
The Flame
Burns bright

Sacred Fire
Keep
Emitting
Your light

Heart and Soul

My heart spills over

onto every page

Even if I tried

I could not contain it

My soul pours forth

into every stroke

Even if I tried

I could not shake it

My words are tied

to these instruments

which none can ever 

take from me

More dear to me

than pen and paper

these two can never

be silenced
