Uncovering Myself

As I uncover my inner self,
I discover what lies hidden
Deep within I find my truth
Buried like a treasure

Seeking the forbidden fruit

I dare to venture further

Hoping I will find the clues

To reveal the guarded secrets

Which will unlock the best of me

Safely tucked away for protection

I can journey inward now

The road is clear to travel

The obstacles have been removed

The walls have been dismantled

The fortress has been destroyed

The route has been recovered

The journey will be easier now

The destination reachable

I no longer have to travel alone

I can let my path unfold

I can enjoy its beauty

Knowing that I can now create

The deepest dreams into reality

The Maze

In the midnight of our days
The moon peeks through the misty haze,
It's waxed and waned through every phase
As we've traveled through the maze.

Some would say we've reached the end,
That it's time to comprehend,
That we can only append,
That it's too late for us, my friend.

But I say midnight is the peak,
For those who nightly hunt and seek,
To find the truths buried so deep;
Now is not the time to sleep.

For our journey carries on
Until at least the breaking dawn,
And maybe far beyond,
Where we may sing another song.
