New Beginning

A new beginning 
has opened up for me
My spirit is ready 
to finally be free

In the book of my life
a new page has been turned
I will use all the wisdom
from what I have learned

I am eager to see
what this chapter will reveal
I am blessed to have the chance
for all my wounds to heal

New seeds are being planted
in the garden of my dreams
My heart is overflowing
it is bursting at the seams

Each step that I take
fills me with glee
This marvelous path
is a wonder to see

I'll watch it unfold
as the moments pass by
As words fill the paper
right before my eyes

I'll treasure each morsel
that falls along the way
