I haven't been writing on this blog in a while. I have been continuing to grow in my spiritual practices. I have continued my meditation and yoga workshops and since last Fall (2014) our meditation group has been meeting very regularly, almost weekly lately. It is wonderful. It is more than meditation. We meditate and then share in a circle what our experiences were and our leader helps us to heal and release further during the share. So it is really a holistic energy support group. It is my spiritual therapy group. It is wonderful to share this with others of like mind and spirit. It has helped me tremendously. I have changed and grown so much in the last couple of years. I was reading my posts from the Fall and Winter of 2013 and it is amazing how much insight I had at that time that is coming to me again but from a different place now. The seasons bring similar insights I find. The Fall and Winter are often my most deep insights. The summer inspires me to enjoy nature, but Fall and Winter are times of deep introspection. It is wonderful to have these periods that are unique.
I have rediscovered the Angels again recently. They have always been with me, but I had to take a break from fully connecting to them as I grew in other areas. I have been doing my own Angel Oracle and Tarot card readings and even did some for close friends. One reading last weekend was very intense and profound, a day after I had a huge breakthrough at a meditation. I was able to fully receive all the returns of positive energy and love that I had ever given out, that I was never able to accept into my heart before. I am also learning to keep more inside myself instead of giving over myself too easily and fully to others, when they are doing well on their own spiritual journey. I am finding when it is right and the best way to help others.
It feels great to give to others, but it is coming more from my heart and true self and in a more grounded way. So I don't lose myself in giving to others. I gain more wisdom and peace instead.
I also am using crystals and stones again also, but in a more moderate way. I found some amazing bracelets called Soul Journey and I was inspired to give them to all the women in my meditation group, choosing just the right ones for each of them, and keeping a few for myself. I also am giving them to close friends who I think would benefit from them. I can feel the healing power of them. Also, I gave the men a special bag of crystals for each of them. I also shared some crystals with my friend and her daughter that came last weekend. One special larger crystal in particular I gave to them, which is one that connects to the angels. I knew that they needed it. I was called to give it away. It felt right. It is great to share what I have when it is the right time and place. This Christmas I am giving so much to others. I gain love and peace in return. I am allowing others to give back to me spiritually. Material gifts are not necessary as I am so blessed to have what I need already.
I am meditating more regularly on my own as well. I did the Oprah/Deepak Chopra Meditation Challenge and that was awesome. Focus was on belief. The last time I did it was in 2013. So again the parallel between that year and this year.
I haven't done yoga as much lately, but find time when I can and also walking. I know those are key for exercise. I will find a balance for them as I can. I am focusing more on family time and the schedule for my daughter doesn't always allow for me to find that time alone, other than my regular meditation group. I am working on releasing habits that get in the way of these activities also. My sleep has been a big obstacle over my lifetime. I can sleep easily, but stay up too late in general.
I am working on doing better every day. It is a slow process of change, but I have faith I can change my habits for the better. I have had periods of great change and it is just finding the balance and routine to allow all the positive changes over the last couple of years to come together. I know I can do it. I believe I can and it will happen. Each day is a new opportunity for change and growth.
I am connecting more with my angels and guides. The other day I connected and got messages from my guides. I have a main guide, a healer guide and a teacher guide. Each serves a purpose. I felt a strong connection to several Archangels as well. They are so powerful when they come in. The energy is phenomenal. I continue to increase my intuitive visions and senses. It is nice to see that growth and feel the power and guidance that flows in me when I open up to it.
I feel I am listening and following my intuition and guidance. I am opening up to my life purpose more each day. I found a journal entry with a message on that very topic in an old journal and it was so applicable to recent insights. It was amazing. It confirmed my instincts. I am to spread love and light to others and help them to heal (that gift is going to grow and expand more over time).
Love and Peace to all this holiday season.
Life is Poetry and Poetry is Life. My poetry is the story of the journey of my soul and life which evolves daily. This is a place for me to share my poetry and what inspires me.

Two Sides
Flip a coin, choose a side
Black is black, White is white
Dark is dark, Light is light
Bright of day, Shade of night
Fade to Black, Rise to Light
Sun and Shadow play their game
Moon can pierce the darkest sky
Anger and Sadness,
Love and Joy
Yin and Yang
we need them both
They coexist,
Inseparable
If one were gone,
the other would wither
Missing its partner,
one half left alone
carrying the burden all on its own
The eternal balance
is like a dance
back and forth
across space and time
Never ending,
the cycle continues
The universe performs
its harmonic song
Black is black, White is white
Dark is dark, Light is light
Bright of day, Shade of night
Fade to Black, Rise to Light
Sun and Shadow play their game
Moon can pierce the darkest sky
Anger and Sadness,
Love and Joy

One Circle, One Heart
Three in a
circle of life
Becoming one
heart
One goes away
the other two stay
The circle
becomes
a line
Joining the three
Across the sea
Distance makes the heart grow
fonder
yet lonely
Time slows down
when part of your heart
is away
The wandering third
returns to the fold
At home
at last
to have and to hold
The three join
together
in an embrace
The circle
reunited
The heart
fills with love
All feels right
in the world
When the three
live as one
No matter
the distance
Never to part
Forever one heart
For Damon and Gwen
My circle of love
My heart

All Must Go
Fall is falling all around us
Autumn leaves co-mingle
at my feet
They hang on
with battered limbs
until giving in to
the insistent wind
Like rain they drop
from all directions
loosening
their grip on life
"Must hold on a little longer"
some not ready
to die yet
No discrimination
as to color, shape or size
All must go
by time of winter
No leaf
can be left standing
No disruption
to the rite
All must be sacrificed
in the cleansing
The baring of the trees
The cycle
of the seasons
must continue as it has
Mother Nature knows
the reason
All must succumb
to her will
Autumn leaves co-mingle
at my feet
They hang on
with battered limbs

the insistent wind

Yoga and Meditation Journal - 10/21/14
I think I should add walking to the journal title as it is my new staple, but for me walking is a meditation as I have said before, as I usually do it solitary and in silence. A moving meditation, in harmony with nature as I prefer to be outside, in whatever weather. It is going on week 3 of doing my thrice daily walks. I am really loving it and crave it. I just cannot stop so far. I have had a cold since last Thursday but manage to muster up energy to do a simple slow walk and the fresh air has been good for me. I am keeping it short while I am sick, but even when I think I may not go for my 2nd or 3rd, I find my body is moving me out the door, eager for its fix. I get going pretty early in the morning to get one in before work at our little park, then go in the afternoon on the track at work (love that we have that) or in parks on the weekend, finishing it off sometime in the evening (usually night - love the late walks) just up and down our street.
The walking is huge for my creative flow. I have written more poems since I have started the regular walking, and I find that since I do them mainly in my head that I remember them more. I will often finish/edit it at home but the main idea is set on the walk. Not every walk spurs a poem, but many do right now. As no surprise, since I am walking outside nature is a big theme right now for me. But I also relate my spiritual growth from my meditations into poems as well.
Interesting that this past week I didn't do as much yoga - the walking is taking more of its place but I am still finding the balance of what I will do as I progress. It is just fun trying to find the time for them all. Often I sit on the porch or a quiet place and do a full meditation after my walk. Great peaceful time. When I do my yoga now, I am more at peace and feel which poses I need to go into. While I have been sick restorative is more in tune, and it really helped to clear my sinuses one night. I have missed my class a bit lately due to schedule and work, but went to two workshops so that was nice. I will have to do more at home since my husband got a new job and our schedules may be up i the air for a while. Thinking of replacing my Tuesday class for a Sunday one. We will see.
I can really see how all the yoga, meditation and walking are enhancing my creativity and soul. I feel so alive right now. More than ever before. It is a great feeling.
Looking forward to a Thursday group mediation this week which I am sure will provide more visions and insights as well as inspiration for more poetry.

Half of a Whole
Blessed or Cursed?
Will future portions persist
to find their match?
Or left alone
grow weary of their lack?
What purpose in this halving?
What hidden message here?
Perhaps this unhinging
holds the key to all
From separation comes
appreciation of the whole
Will future portions persist
to find their match?
Or left alone
grow weary of their lack?
What purpose in this halving?
What hidden message here?
Perhaps this unhinging

The angels are linked together
stretching from pole to pole
encircling the globe
Protecting and guarding
as the Earth spins on its axis
and rotates around the Sun
Infinite in number
Ever vigil, ever constant
Seeking to serve us
If we simply ask
stretching from pole to pole
encircling the globe
Protecting and guarding
as the Earth spins on its axis
and rotates around the Sun
Infinite in number
Ever vigil, ever constant
Seeking to serve us

Red Sky
"Red sky at night, sailor's delight,
Red sky at morning, sailors take warning"
The old saying came to mind
as I stepped out into a red sky at dawn
It was full of bright pinks and oranges
with ominous dark gray clouds
Then it burst into a flame of golden yellow
but soon simmered into subtler shades of pink and gray
until the colors slowly faded away
What fortune that I was able to see
this wonderful display of light and color
at the start of a dreary day
What wonders are all around us
waiting to be found if we care to notice
Nature provides more enjoyment
and variety than any show on earth

Untouched Beauty
In the center of the circle
hidden in the rolling hills
lies a luxurious wildflower patch
full of vibrant colors
that beckons me to come
and breathe the fragrant air
before it is carried away
in the autumn mist
The first sight of this patch
brought such joy and excitement
I walked over and stared
with enamoration
at the immensity of it
I picked a bunch of flowers
in remembrance of that moment
but they didn't last long
beyond the magic of the patch
They could not capture
The same sensation
as the field in full bloom
With bees buzzing around
and the manicured grass
under my feet
A stark contrast to the
untouched natural landscape
before my eyes
I stood in awe at the beauty
we cut away each day
to pave the way for progress
